Know what your crypto really costs.
Compare how much BTC, ETH or SOL your Australian dollars buy—or how much you receive when selling. Clear fees, visible assumptions, no guesswork.
Compare prices after trading fees. Quotes are indicative and depend on available order-book liquidity.
Three exchanges currently supported. We exclude stale or incomplete quotes rather than inventing numbers.
Compare what your dollars buy
Live order books from BTC Markets, Independent Reserve and CoinJar Exchange, plus each one's published trading fee.
None of the order books is fresh enough to compare right now. We won't show old prices as current.
Not comparable right now: BTC Markets (order book older than 15 minutes (latest fetch couldn't connect)); Independent Reserve (order book older than 15 minutes (latest fetch couldn't connect)); CoinJar Exchange (order book older than 15 minutes (latest fetch couldn't connect)).

How to compare exchange costs fairly
Start with the same AUD spending budget and coin on each exchange. A low advertised trading fee does not guarantee more crypto: the available ask prices, depth of the order book and funding method can change the final result. CoinWharf ranks comparable buy estimates by units received, not by headline fees or any payment from an exchange.
Buying versus selling
Buying uses available sell orders (asks), while selling uses buy orders (bids). The gap between the best ask and the best bid is the spread. An immediate buy-and-sell round trip crosses the spread once and pays the trading fee twice, even if the market price hasn't moved.
Why might an exchange be missing?
We do not fill missing order books with guessed prices. A provider may be excluded when its book is stale, has insufficient liquidity or cannot support the requested amount. Check the timestamps and excluded-provider explanations before comparing results.
What should you check before placing an order?
Confirm your deposit method, trading tier, available balance and final order preview directly with the exchange. For Bitcoin moved into self-custody, compare the wallet-delivery estimate as well.
