How fresh is a crypto price? Reading the timestamps
A crypto price is only true at the moment it was fetched. Every figure on CoinWharf carries its time, and old data is set aside, not shown as current.
Different data, different ages
Market reference prices, exchange order books and withdrawal fees come from different places and refresh at different times. A page can be new while a figure on it is old, so look at each figure's time.
CoinWharf's rules
- An order book more than 15 minutes old isn't compared. One fetched 20 minutes ago is left out, with the reason shown.
- If an exchange's latest refresh failed, its last good book is labelled with its own time.
- Withdrawal fees must have been checked within two hours to be ranked.
- The fee scenario needs a reference price under 15 minutes old.
Before you trade
Prices move between any quote and your order. Always check the price and fees on the exchange's final order screen.
