Stablecoin cost comparison
USDC and USDT in Australian dollars
Both stablecoins target roughly US$1, not A$1. Compare the amount you receive for the same AUD budget using fresh exchange order books and each venue’s published taker fee.
Prices are indicative, not executable quotes. Rankings use the most stablecoins received for the same AUD spend.

Which stablecoin should you choose?
USDC and USDT are different tokens issued by different companies. Neither is a bank deposit or guaranteed to maintain its peg. Consider issuer, reserve disclosures, redemption eligibility, liquidity, and which blockchain your receiving wallet supports.
Trading costs versus transfer costs
CoinJar Exchange publishes a 0.001% taker rate for stablecoin-to-AUD trades, compared with its ordinary crypto/AUD rate. The market price, spread and available liquidity can matter more than the headline rate. CoinJar fee source.
Do not assume a free or interchangeable transfer. USDT and USDC exist on multiple networks. A correct token on the wrong network can result in loss of funds. Network charges, exchange withdrawal fees, transfer limits and recipient compatibility are excluded until individually verified.
What a stablecoin AUD quote does not include
Exchange account requirements, your specific fee tier, tax treatment, withdrawal fees, token redemptions and changes between viewing and trading. The estimate is built from order-book levels, not a fixed US-dollar peg or a USD/AUD currency conversion.
